My good friends, Jill, Jeanni and I, decided to take our troops camping in the Santa Cruz mountains. We looked like quite a site pulling up with all our kids, 14 in all. The camp host was especially impressed that Jeanni backed in a 30 foot trailer.
The boys enjoyed making forts in the forest just behind our camp site. Logan and Jacob even roasted banana slugs in their fort. Their scout leaders would have been very proud of them.
Jill paid Dallin $5.00 to lick a banana slug. She also offered $100.00 if anyone would eat it. Everyone declined. We later learned that banana slugs can make people sick. I'm glad to report that Dallin is healthy as ever!
One day was spent playing at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The kids had a blast riding the rides and eating junk food. :)

The kids enjoyed riding scooters around the campsite. We did have to deal with several wipe outs. Weston was especially fast down the hills.
Jeanni and I played a lot of Phase 10. She beat me every time!
